This message is for Andre, Simon and the entire Nomis family. My name is Peter Chiasson. Some of you may remember me because at Xmas eve last year I sent several photos to you guys of some amazing totally tricked out Nomis “hoodie” cookies. Well this past weekend, Friday the 19th to be exact marked my 27th birthday and it was unbelievable. However, this was the first bday in the past 3 years in which on that day I was unable to go shredding on the mountain as now I am lving in Guelph, ON with my gf Marisa who btw has a few Nomis shirts and a hoodie cuz of me but is also the talent behind these amazing designs. They spent hours believe me working on making me something special for my birthday and wanted it to be Nomis related. So, this time she and my roomate Zoe made Nomis cupcakes. You guys have to see these pics. Each individual cupcake looks very much like a pattern on various Nomis hoodies that have been released over the past few years. Now as I have hundreds of articles of clothing by Nomis and its the only clothing company I wear apart from when I have to get dressed up, lol she had plenty of examples in my closest and drawers to make replica images of. If you will recall last years cookies , the “ref” hoodie, the “five alive mystery tony hoodie,” the limited edition Nomis OG Ice Cream hoodie,” a sick half-zip that I think would be cool if it was made for girls to wear especially during the spring/fall season as thats what she was depicting, and an image of an “orange Nomis hoodie with the logo in the middle of the chest much like the new hockey hoodies which I think and have just ordered the leafs one as a b-day present.
However, I have always wanted to meet you Andre and especially Simon. When I lived out west one of the Reps Jay Woon who covers parts of AB mentioned to me that some you guys were coming from Calgary and making a quick stop at the shop UNLTD where I frequently shopped and you met Ryan Belder or Sean Andrew Dance they would tell you I was one of the biggest Nomis customers at their Banff store. Unfortunately, that was around my b-day back in November 2009 I believe and my gf and I were in Calgary and when I got the e-mail we were just checking out of our hotel. We tried to make it back as quickly as possible but unfortunately when we arrived back in town and drove on to Banff Ave so I could pop into the shop the boys said you guys alreadly left and not that long ago I recall as you were on a pretty tight schedule. Therefore, is there any way that you or Simon could send me something like a little care package with maybe a few stickers for my board, and maybe even a real Signature from Simon as I have many of his signature collection jackets, t-shirts, jeans and even a rare pair of the Nomis Rasta Shoes that I had to have my Dad specially order from Dogfunk as he was going to be inUtah just before Dec while he was on a mountain biking trip with friends in Moab. And what made xmas so special last year was receiving those for xmas when I came home to visit my family who lives in NS where I originally grew up
But, if you can’t do something like that I totally understand and I just want you all at Nomis to know how much of a fan I am and nothing would make me happier than to know that someday I might get a chance to meet some of you in person and be seen with you in some pics. It would mean so much to me!
Alright, thank you and I hope to hear from you.
Peace
Peter Chiasson
